Open Wrestling now uses Java 12. If you are suddenly having issues running the game, ensure Java is up to date.

The game now uses a database. This is intended to make the game more stable over the long term make new features easier to add and maintain.

When you start a new game you will now be asked for a location to save the database. This database will be updated after each in-game day.

The database uses SQLite. This means you can edit save games directly using a tool such as https://sqliteonline.com/

Packaging of the game has also changed. You may still be able to run the Open Wrestling jar directly, a .bat file is also included that should run the game with double click.
